SUMMARY:The Whisky King
DESCRIPTION:The guest speaker for our programme on Tuesday\, September 24th will be\nTrevor Cole\, author of The Whisky King. It’s a remarkable true story of\nCanada’s most infamous bootlegger and the undercover Mountie who\nfinally nabbed him. \nAt the dawn of the 20th century Rocco Perri rose from the life of a petty\ncriminal on the streets of Toronto to running the most prominent\nbootlegging operation of the Prohibition era.
