The Scarborough Historical Society is one of the largest and most active historical societies in Canada. Our members are passionate about preserving and promoting all facets of the history of Scarborough from its beginning to the recent past.

Whether built or natural heritage, genealogy, artifacts, archival documents or social history we strive to protect and preserve all aspects of our history.

The Scarborough Archives – Home to the Scarborough Historical Society

The Scarborough Historical Society’s mandate is:
‘To preserve, promote and stimulate an interest in the history of Scarborough.’

As a registered charitable organization the Society operates the Scarborough Archives, offers regular programmes on a variety of topics, conducts research, documents local history and works with volunteers of all ages.
